Mitcheldean Surgery are pleased to offer our patients the facility to use “SystmOne Online” which allows patients to book, view or cancel appointments with your Doctor, or for a routine blood test or INR check. You can also order your routine repeat medication online, and view some of your medical information online, such as any allergies or drug sensitivities and test results.
Online Appointment Booking
Have the flexibility to book and cancel your appointments from home, at work, or from any location with internet access. You can book appointments with your GP and also for routine Blood Tests or an INR check. Unfortunately it is not possible to book appointments with the Practice Nurse online. You don’t need to queue at the Practice or wait on the telephone, and you can manage your appointments outside Practice opening hours.
Request Your Repeat Prescriptions Online
Request your routine repeat prescriptions quickly by logging into your account and simply ticking the appropriate boxes. When ordering online, please allow two full working days prior to collection.
View Your Medication History/Allergies
Being able to see your medication history and any allergy or sensitivity information online might help you to manage your medical conditions better. It also means that you can access this information from anywhere in the world should you require medical treatment whilst on holiday or away from home.
View Your Detailed Coded Record
From the 31st March 2016 patients will be able to see more of the information that is contained within their medical record in coded form, such as diagnoses, test results, signs and symptoms (such as coughing, headache, etc) but excludes letters, documents and any free text.
Detailed Coded Record Access can only be requested from your SystmOne Online Account once you have logged in. Once submitted, your request will be passed to your GP for approval which may take up to 14 days.

How Does It Work?
You will be asked to complete an application form for Systmonline Access and to provide photo proof of your identity and address (if you have not already done so). You will then be provided with a username and a temporary password which you can change to something more memorable to you once you have registered.

Once you have your login details, to create your account please go to https://systmonline.tpp-uk.com
It will be your responsibility to keep your login details and password safe and secure. If you know or suspect that your record has been accessed by someone that you have not agreed should see it, then you should change your password immediately. If you are unable to do this for any reason, you should contact the Practice so they can remove online access until you are able to reset your password.
Please note, the Practice Staff do not have access to your login or password details. Similarly, although they will be happy to help if you are unable to access your account, they are unable to offer general IT support to resolve any computer issues.
Access For Minors (Under 16 Years of Age)
We know that sometimes it can be helpful for parents to manage their children’s online accounts on their behalf. We allow parents to have access to a child’s account until they reach the age of 11 for the purposes of booking appointments and ordering repeat medication only. When the child reaches the age of 11, the child account will be deactivated.
If a parent wishes to continue to access their child’s online account after the age of the 11 they should apply to their GP. Further access will only be granted where the GP deems this to be appropriate in the case of medical need. Children may apply for access in their own right once they reach the age of 16.
A competent patient over the age of 16 can allow relatives or carers access to their online account for the purposes of booking appointments and ordering repeat medication. Proxy access to summary information or detailed coded records will not be granted. If a patient wishes to grant proxy access to another individual a Proxy Access Request Form should be completed and returned to the Surgery.
What If I Don't Have A Computer?
Online Services are an extra option for those who wish to use them and will not replace other ways of contacting your Practice such as by phone or in person. By freeing up telephone lines and reducing the need for people to visit in person, it is hoped that patients who do not have a computer will find it easier to contact the Practice.
SystmOnline is also available as an app, which can be used on Apple devices (iPhones and iPads) and on Android devices (mobile phones and tablets). The app can be downloaded for free from the Apple App Store and from the Google Play Store. Simply click the relevant logo on the SystmOnline Login page.
