If you feel you need to see a Doctor urgently, please call on the day at 8.30 am and the Receptionist will offer you an emergency book on the day appointment if one is available. In cases of urgent appointments, it may not be possible to see the Doctor of your choice but we endeavour to offer you a same day appointment.
If you have more than one issue to discuss with your Doctor or Nurse, please ask the receptionist for advice on whether you should have a double appointment.
We offer GP appointments at a range of times between 9.00am and 6.00pm. If you rely on public transport - tell the receptionist when booking your appointments. We will try our very best to fit your appointment around your bus times.
You can now book your Doctor’s appointment online via our secure booking service. Visit the Online Services page of the Website for more information.
We sometimes receive requests from Patients who would prefer to see a Female GP. If you would prefer to see a lady doctor please mention this to the Receptionist when booking your appointment, If you would prefer to see your usual Male GP, then Reception will be able to offer you a Chaperone for your consulation if required.
If you are unable to attend the Surgery because you are too ill, please telephone Reception before 11 am Monday to Friday and give full details of the problem so we may judge the urgency of your call. The Practice covers a large rural area and home visits require a lot of travelling time - hence we only visit those who cannot come to the Surgery. Wherever possible, we ask that all patients attend the Surgery for their consultation/treatment. If you are unsure whether or not you require a home visit, please discuss this with reception staff when you call.
